The little one is currently without a name and, with the new Dumfries cop being named by youngsters at the Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary, it's over to Glasgow.

Taking to Instagram, police said: "Meet our newest recruits 🐶👮😍 One will be heading for Glasgow and the other will remain in Dumfries post-training and ready for #PawEnforcement!

"The children of Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary will be naming one of our pups, but what would you name the other?"

The ideas have been rolling in and some are pretty good.
