THE devastated former partner of an Airdrie dad who died after a shooting has paid tribute to the "gentle giant".

Natasha Holmes took to social media to share a series of images from the pair's life together along with a moving message in the wake of his death.

The man has been named locally as fitness instructor Gary More.

Natasha wrote: "No one knows you like I know you.

"You have the biggest heart and you would have done anything for anyone.

"Just a scared boy in a man's body who would never hurt anyone."

Glasgow Times:

She added: "I am completely heartbroken and I have never felt pain like this.

"It’s so final and it feels like a dream.

"I always have and always will love and care for you Gary. We couldn’t be together in the end but we couldn’t be without each other either.

"We were always coming back to each other and nothing will take away from how I feel about you. You truly were a lovable big gentle giant."

Natasha added: "How someone can take you away so easily is beyond imaginable in my mind and the pain we are all feeling is unreal.

"I don’t know how it is going to get better but I hope I see you in another life darling. Rest easy."

Glasgow Times:
