Traffic has been brought to a standstill on the M8 after a car went up in flames.
Motorists were forced to come a complete standstill following the blaze near to the Bargeddie slip road just after 12.15pm on Sunday.
Emergency services are currently on the scene.
It is not known if there are any casualties at this point.
Images from the scene show passengers having exited their vehicles and waiting on assistance.
Traffic Scotland has not issued any advice to motorists as of yet.
A spokesman for Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "I can confirm that we are on the scene of a car fire on the M8."
