Images have emerged showing Benidorm's 'first' Rangers bar following a fire in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Photographs showing scorch marks on the outside of The Golden Last pub in the area of Spain were posted on social media earlier in the day.

According to reports, staff claim that a number of flags which were being flown outside of the bar were set on fire.

Glasgow Times:

The pub flies Union Flags and Ulster Banners outside its premises in the Spanish holiday resort.

Early rumours on Rangers fan forums suggested that the pub had been petrol bombed but this has since been strongly denied by the owners.

Staff have said that there remains no damage to the inside of the venue.

One said: "Flags at the front were set on fire. The bar is fine and untouched.

"Pic makes it look worse than it is."

One fan group wrote on Facebook: "Totally disgusted at what happened to our friends over at the Golden Last Rangers Bar during the night."
