2000 city families set to lose £4000

MORE than 2000 families in Glasgow will lose almost £4000 a year by changes to working tax credits, House Of Commons figures reveal.

The total cash lost to families with a parent working part-time in the city could be as much as £8m a year.

The new benefit rules are being introduced by the UK Government to cut the welfare state bill, which it claims is now about £200billion a year,
