With the city's famous Glasgow Green fireworks display not going ahead for 2022's Bonfire Night, many are left wondering how they can get out and enjoy November 5.

The event, which Glasgow Life canceled for the third year in a row, will not be going ahead this year.

However, there are still dozens of fireworks shows in and around the city for the whole family to enjoy.

So we've brought together a list of the four best alternative fireworks displays happening in and around Glasgow to help you 'remember, remember the fifth of November...'

4. Lenzie Family Firework Show, East Dunbartonshire

This community firework show to the north of the city near the town of Kirkintilloch is hosting its very own display.

Taking place a day earlier on Friday, November 4, the event is happening at the Lenzie Rugby Club from 6.30 pm and ends at 10 pm.

With food and drink, great music, and a stunning show from the award-winning Nemesis Fireworks, the Lenzie Firework show is one to jot down on your calendar.

3. Drumchapel and West Winterfest Fireworks

The Winterfest display returns with a bang after a two-year hiatus caused by the pandemic.

The event will have music, entertainment, a funfair, street theatre, dancers, and just about everything you need to enjoy the fireworks this year.

The Fireworks begin at 7 pm on November 5 while the festivities begin at 5 pm at Drumchapel Park.

2. Glasgow North East Fireworks Festival, The Fort

The Glasgow North East Fireworks Festival is taking place in Easterhouse on November 5 just outside the large shopping precinct.

The event will feature Little Mix Magic, a tribute act to the chart-topping sensations, while the fireworks will begin at 7.30 pm.

The usual restaurants at the Fort will remain open during this time.

1. GHA Firework Display

According to the organiser's website, the GHA Firework Display is the largest in the Southside and is completely family-friendly.

With tickets for under 5s totally free, this event can save young families some money this November.

The event is taking place at the GHA Rugby Club on Braidholm Road in Giffnock.
