JANEY Godley has defended herself after being accused of “lying" about her terminal cancer again.

The 62-year-old Glasgow comedian has been targeted on social media once again over her health.

The brave mum-of-one is battling terminal ovarian cancer and has shared her journey online for fans, but some have used it to attack the comic.

One tweeted her today saying she is “lying” because she is the “picture of health” and told others to “wake up”.

Janey was quick to respond to the nasty message and said: “I’m sorry your hatred has stretched to saying I am lying about having cancer.

“I wish you a really good day my friend, I am off to get chemo today and hope you never live with this disease.”

It isn’t the first time Janey has stood up for herself on social media and we previously reported how she was taunted by a twitter user who said “you're meeting your maker soon”.

She then put them in their place by calling out the callous behaviour before wishing them a “good day".

Janey also reminded them she will be remembered as “a strong rape survivor, a good mother and a supportive human” after she dies.

She replied: “You’re reminding me of my impending death from my terminal cancer.

"I wish you a good day and look after yourself.”

Sadly, Janey was then targeted again and hit back after being told she was ‘faking cancer’ and ‘should die quicker’.

She announced that the taunting of her illness forces her to spend “days” blocking tormentors.

Janey also mentioned how she noticed an increase in abuse after Nicola Sturgeon gave her a shout out for one of her funny videos.

She said: “Anytime Nicola Sturgeon mentions me in a tweet, I have to spend days blocking men.

“Yes, it’s all been men with mostly footie accounts telling me ‘I’m ugly, faked having cancer, not funny and should die quicker’.

“Imagine sh*** Nicola Sturgeon gets on a daily basis from these utter clack w*****.”
