The historic Kincaid House Hotel in the village of Milton of Campsie is currently on the market.
The property, brought to market by surveyors DM Hall, is steeped in heritage and is associated with the historic Clan Kincaid.
The hotel is being sold by John & Morag Thomson, with the couple being responsible for an extensive restoration of the building from 1994 to 1998.
Mr Thomson said: "The restoration was fantastic, but we also invested huge sums of money in fixtures and fittings and projects such as adding the capacious conservatory and maintaining the historic building.
"However, 45 years is a long shift and we feel now, it is the right time to retire.
"We wish nothing but the best for the next custodians."
The hotel comes with nine en-suite letting rooms and three staff rooms, as well as a function suite with 100 covers.
Offering potential for future development, the property sits within large mature grounds.
The living accommodations were modernised and upgraded in 2019 and include two additional dining areas, a separate bar, and a more informal eating area in the former stables.
The property’s sale is being overseen by Margaret Mitchell of DM Hall, who said: "There has already been extensive interest in the property, which is of a character seldom seen on the market."
