A WOMAN has been hit by a car in Glasgow's Southside.
The incident took place on Paisley Road West at around 12.25pm this afternoon.
The road is closed westbound between Bellahouston Drive and Jura Street.
999 crews are at the scene.
Meanwhile, the woman has been taken to hospital.
Details of her age or condition have not been given.
An investigation has been launched.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.25pm on Thursday, April 25, 2024, police were called to a report of a woman having been struck by a car on Paisley Road West, Glasgow.
“Emergency services are in attendance and the woman has been taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.
“Paisley Road West is closed westbound between Bellahouston Drive and Jura Street and enquiries are continuing.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We received a call to attend an incident on Paisley Road West in Glasgow.
"Two ambulances, a paramedic response team and a trauma team were dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
