A REWARD of up to £2000 is being offered for information after a Greenock couple were robbed at knifepoint in their home.
The victims, a man and a woman, both 64-years-old, were forced to hand over cash and a mobile phone by two male intruders during the incident at around 6.40pm on Tuesday April 21 this year.
The suspects entered the property, in Wellpark Buildings, Regent Street, through an unlocked front door and cut the couple's phone lines to make it harder for them to seek help.
Both victims were uninjured but left shaken by the ordeal.
Despite an extensive police inquiry the men have not yet been identified.
Now Crimestoppers is offering the reward of up to £2000 for information which leads to their arrest and conviction.
Angela Parker, national manager for Crimestoppers Scotland, said: "This was a despicable crime which has left the two victims extremely shaken.
"We all deserve to feel safe in our own homes and it is extremely important that the two men responsible for this robbery are brought to justice to ensure that they cannot strike again.
"There are people out there who know who is responsible and I would urge you to contact Crimestoppers anonymously.
"We don't take personal details and we can't trace information given online or on the phone. We don't want to know who you are, just what you know."
The suspects are described as being 5ft 10in in height with a slim build.
Both were wearing blue hooded tops.
One of the men was wearing a pair of dark coloured Adidas tracksuit bottoms and both spoke with local accents.
