£2m bail-out for council's parking firm

GLASGOW City Councillors have backed a new bail-out worth up to £2million for City Parking.

The city's ruling executive council yesterday approved a new line of "cash flow funding" for the beleaguered company.

The move came after the council-owned company revealed that its bank would not renew its overdraft at its current trends.

Councillors did not decide exactly how to make the bail-out, which could be in the form of a loan or a cash contribution.

The Evening Times first revealed the bail-out on Monday.
