A GLASGOW university has the potential to become a world leader in social enterprise research after receiving a research council grant.
The Yunus Centre at Caledonian University has been given almost £2million to look into the effects of social enterprise on health and well-being.
The project will see researchers study businesses which work on a non-profit basis.
With Scotland having more than 200 of these enterprises, the team hopes to discover what effect they have on public health.
Although the initial work will focus on Scotland, they are looking towards England and North America.
