A £2m project to reduce the risk of flooding at properties in Glasgow's East End is to get under way.
Scottish Water is to install an underground storm storage tank at an old playpark in Shettleston which it says will increase the capacity of the sewage network.
The work will reduce the risk of flooding at 12 properties in Grampian Street and Strowan Crescent and improve the natural environment of a local Tollcross Burn.
The project is expected to be completed in about six months.
Mark Maclaren, Scottish Water's regional community manager, said: "Scottish Water is aware of the inconvenience flooding can cause and we are committed to tackling this."
