Alzheimer Scotland's '4 Seconds' appeal, launched today, is asking the public to make a donation to help fund the information, advice and practical support the charity provides to people with dementia, their carers, partners and families.
The campaign message also adds that there are 86,000 people with dementia in Scotland - enough to fill Hampden stadium one and a half times.
Alzheimer's disease is the main form of dementia. The second most common is vascular dementia.
Alzheimer Scotland speaks out for the rights and concerns of people with dementia and their carers.
It operates services at over 60 sites across, Scotland providing practical services, such as home support and befriending, as well as support services for carers.
