ALMOST 1700 council and housing association homes in Scotland will benefit from improved energy efficiency as part of a £4.5 million scheme.
A total of 24 local authorities and social landlords are to be given grants to install measures that will make their properties both warmer and cheaper to heat.
Work is to be carried out on 1677 homes.
