A PUBLIC debate on plans for a new hospital and the relocation of GP surgeries is expected to attract a large audience next week.

The debate will be provided as part of a meeting of Shropshire Council’s Ludlow and Clee Area Local Joint Committee.

Representatives from the Primary Care Trust (PCT) and both doctors’ surgeries will talk about major changes in healthcare provision proposed for the 34,000 people living in the South Shropshire area.

Further information will be provided at the meeting and there will be a question and answer session afterwards for people to raise issues.

Committee chairman Councillor Rosanna Taylor-Smith said: “I’d like to encourage as many people as possible to come along and hear about the proposals for our new healthcare facilities in the Ludlow area.”

The meeting will be held on Tuesday at 7pm in the Harley Centre’s main auditorium, Ludlow College in Ludlow.
