A TOTTENHAM man who threatened to arrange for a female street enforcement officer to be stabbed is now under house arrest.
Matthew Yard, 18, of Henningham Road, became abusive and made the sinister vow towards the Haringey Council employee, whose job it is to deter residents from environment crimes such as littering, after she approached him.
She lodged a complaint wnd police found the teenager already had an Asbo and arrested him for breaching its terms.
Yard pleaded guilty at a Haringey magistrates court and on December 21, 2009, and was sentenced last month to a daily curfew between 10pm and 6am.
He has been fitted with an electronic tag so police can track his whereabouts.
Councillor Nilgun Canver, cabinet member for enforcement and safer communities, said: "We won't hesitate to take action against anyone who threatens our staff.
"Haringey street enforcement officers are there to help and protect local people and communities and have the right to go about their work without fear of intimidation or violence."
