The Hollies will be honoured this year by the American Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame for their “impact on the evolution of popular music”.
What a good excuse for the Manchester band with more hit singles than Liverpool neighbours The Beatles to release yet another compilation, The Midas Touch, through EMI.
On Sunday, The Hollies will be promoting this new double disc at the Grand Opera House, York. Tickets for the 7.30pm show are still available on 0844 847 2322.
Four nights later, the life and times of The Beatles will be recalled in The Bootleg Beatles’ 30th anniversary tour, whose two-hour multi-media stage production visits the Grand Opera House on Thursday at 8pm.
