PEOPLE In Welwyn Hatfield will soon get the chance to see and comment on the latest plans for the redevelopment of the QEII Hospital.

NHS Hertfordshire, which wants to submit a planning application for the complete reconstruction of the main hospital building in January, is arranging a touring exhibition of its vision for the Howlands site.

Dr John Constable, a GP from Wrafton House Surgery, said: “Now that we’ve had approval from government to move forward with changes to the hospital, this exhibition will show local people what is planned for the whole site and will show where the new QEII hospital will be situated.

“Although we’re not yet at the stage where we can show which health services are going where, this will be our first chance to see the initial architect’s impressions of the hospital building and speak to the team directly in charge of the project.”

The plans will be displayed in the lift foyer on the ground floor of the hospital on November 30 and December 1, at Asda in Hatfield on December 2, and in the Howard Centre, Welwyn Garden City on December 3.
