RIVER City actor Charles Jamieson was a victim of credit card fraud when one of his paintings was stolen from a gallery in Devon after the culprit used a stolen card.
The accomplished painter revealed that his scene of South Devon has been recovered, and admitted: "This has given me a new found notoriety.
"Usually it is work by the great masters that is purloined and so this can only help boost the value of my work.
"On a more serious note, though, credit card fraud is a sad indictment of our times and no doubt the recession but I am pleased that the painting has been recovered and is due to be returned to the gallery."
