A NEW designer shop has landed at Glasgow Airport.
Collezioni is selling the best in fashionable clothes for men and women with a range of ladies’ footwear and handbags.
Trendy brands include Hugo Boss, Ted Baker, Diesel and Luke as well as Radley, Furla and Fiorelli.
The new store is part of the McArthurGlen luxury retail chain.
The airport’s commercial director, Francois Bourienne, said: “We are committed to ensuring our retail offering meets the demands of our customers and the addition of the Collezioni store and its men’s line will definitely cater for our customers and fill a gap in the airport’s retail offerings.”
Earlier this year airport chiefs created a new shopping zone as part of a £11.7million upgrade of the original terminal building which was officially opened by the Queen in 1966.
The refurbishment has attracted a number of new retailers to Scotland’s biggest hub, including souvenir shop Discover Glasgow, ladies fashion shop A Bientot – it stocks brands such as French Connection – and spa boutique Rituals which sells products to enrich body and soul.
Tie Rack as well as electrical giant Dixons and Rolling Luggage also relocated to bigger premises within the airport once the upgrade was completed.
Improvements included a new £1.5m food hall.
Mr Bourienne added: “Throughout 2011 we have invested millions of pounds in upgrading our retail facilities to deliver an improved service to our customers and although work is still on-going, passengers will notice a marked difference in our retail offering.
“All of the new outlets look fantastic and we’re looking forward to building on what we’ve achieved to date and adding more familiar names to our retail portfolio.”
