AIRPORTS which do not provide drinking water for passengers are being urged to change their ways.
Scots MEP Alyn Smith has written to EU transport and consumer bosses to demand laws to force airports to provide drinking water.
His research revealed patchy availability of water fountains left passengers no choice but to fork out for expensive bottled water.
It showed neither Aberdeen or Glasgow Prestwick airports provide drinking water.
Passengers can get free tap water from airport bars, but Mr Smith says this may not be suitable for families with young children.
A spokesman for Prestwick Airport said. "All our bars and restaurants are happy to provide free tap water."
