The man behind some of Scotland’s favourite biscuits is planning a party to mark the family firm’s 120th anniversary in 2010.
Tunnock’s, which makes caramel wafers and teacakes, began as a small bakery in Uddingston, Lanarkshire, in 1890.
It is now a major factory with 500 staff producing millions of treats for fans at home and abroad.
Company head Boyd Tunnock, the grandson of founder Thomas Tunnock, said of the anniversary: “It’s a great achievement, I’m really delighted. We’re going to have a party but quite when I don’t know.”
