ANTI-SLAVERY campaigners with duct tape over their mouths staged a demonstration in Glasgow city centre yesterday.
More than a dozen members of Glasgow-based human rights organisation 'Unchained' assembled at the Royal Concert Hall steps and marched down Buchanan Street.
The group wants to raise awareness of trafficking and slavery in Glasgow and across the UK.
Laura Graham, 32, from Bonnybridge, who is part of the steering group for Unchained, said: "It was really, really effective in raising awareness.
"People were reading our banners and applauding us. It was a great event and a really good start to our campaign."
Nadia Maloney, 31, from Glasgow, who is a founder member of Unchained and a law student at the University of Strathclyde, added: "The main objective of the organisation is run interactive workshops and seminars with community groups, schools and churches.
"We currently have a team of seven very dedicated people who are part of Unchained and they will help to run the workshops and seminars too."
