Arts body faces backlash

MORE than 100 artists have launched a scathing attack on arts body, Creative Scotland, accusing it of being "damaged at the heart" and lacking "empathy and regard for Scottish culture".

Leading writers and artists, including Liz Lochhead, Ian Rankin and Alasdair Gray, have released an open letter criticising the body, which is led by chief executive Andrew Dixon.

A Creative Scotland spokesman said the body was working hard to try and restore trust.
