GLASGOW workers at BAE Systems have raised money for blind veterans.

The staff were given £573.50 to donate to Scottish War Blinded after meeting their health and safety targets.

BAE Systems employee Duncan McPhee said: "The employees feel an affinity with the armed forces community and are proud to support veterans' charities.

"When we looked online and saw the good work carried out by Scottish War Blinded we were delighted to be able to help them."

Rosie McLaughlin, outreach manager at Scottish War Blinded said: "The funds raised will support visually impaired veterans across Scotland, providing social opportunities, rehabilitation and independent living skills."
