A PLAY showcasing the tragic life of a global icon is set to hit the stage in Paisley.
The Unremarkable Death of Marilyn Monroe will reveal what life was like for the actress behind the scenes, with no glitz or glamour.
Created by theatre company Dyad Productions, the one-woman show depicts the starlet as she's never been seen before; alone in her bedroom in a dressing gown and underwear.
During her final moments, Marilyn, played by actress Lizzie Wort, recalls memories of her remarkable life, including her closest relationships.
The show, on Thursday May 1, is the London-based company's fifth original production, following on from their five-star successes of Austen's Women and I, Elizabeth.
Tickets, from £10, can be bought at the Paisley Arts Centre box office, by phone on 0300 300 1210 or online at www.renfrewshire.gov.uk
