The Evening Times warned earlier this month that the total loss to Glasgow could reach £84m a year, according to the city's finance director Lynn Brown.

Ms Brown predicted 29,000 Glaswegians will lose £24.55m a year with changes to Incapacity Benefit, Employment Support Allowance and Job- Seekers' Allowance; 56,000 will lose £42.6m when Disability Living Allowances are slashed by a fifth while another 65,000 could lose £5m due to a three-year freeze on Child Benefit.
