Former King of the Jungle Christopher Biggins swung into action when he volunteered at a Castlemilk charity shop.
Customers at The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice shop were thrilled to find a well known face behind the counter as the comedy actor joined staff and volunteers.
Biggins visited the shop to find out more about the volunteers who give up their free time for Glasgow's Hospice.
As well as manning the till, he also browsed the wide variety of clothing, CDs and books on display, during his visit on Sunday.
The actor and television personality said: "My father passed away in a hospice two years ago so I'm very aware of the difference their work makes to their patients and their families in Glasgow.
"It was a pleasure to meet some of the volunteers who give up their time to support this great cause.
"As well as doing a great job they clearly enjoy themselves and I would definitely encourage others to consider it."
Hospice retail director, Bobby Grant, added: "It was fantastic that Christopher was able to give the time to visit the Castlemilk shop and find out more about what can be done to support our hospice.
"We're urgently looking for more people to become shop volunteers and would be delighted to hear from anyone who can spare a few hours a week or fortnight to do so."
