TWO women have been discovered dead in a Port Glasgow flat.
Police have launched a probe following the late night discovery made shortly after 9pm on Friday January 23.
Their bodies were discovered in a flat on Teviot Road in a residential area of the town close to Port Glasgow High School.
Post mortems will now be carried out to determine the cause of death.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Two women aged 34 and 35 were found dead within a flat in Teviot Road, Port Glasgow, at around 9.05pm on Friday January 23.
"Post-mortem examinations will take place in due course to establish the exact cause of death, however police are not treating the deaths as suspicious.
"Enquiries are ongoing and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
