POLICE have confirmed that human remains found in Argyll are those of missing Russian student Yulia Solodyankina.
The remains were found near the A83, just west of Arrochar, on January 9.
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the student's death and that her family in Russia has been informed.
A report has also been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Yulia, 22, who was studying at Edinburgh University, disappeared seven months ago sparking a major Scotland-wide search.
The last sighting of her was on CCTV at Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow on June 7.
She was said to have been "very stressed" about university exams.
