REGENERATION agency bosses have travelled to London in a hunt for investors.

Clyde Gateway is attending a property show to tell of the potential at the largest commercial and industrial site in Scotland.

Shawfield industrial estate will cover an area of land between the M74 to the south, the River Clyde to the north, Glasgow's boundary to the west and a railway line to the east.

Clyde Gateway is bringing forward phase one of the massive project, and £20million is being invested in site infrastructure and landscaping.

A new bridge has already been built linking the site to Dalmarnock station.

It is likely the Shawfield site will be occupied by businesses with supporting uses including shops, cafes, a gym, business centre and hotel.

Opportunities are also available for investors to become partners in Dalmar-nock Cross and Dal-marnock Riverside.

Dalmarnock Cross is a major new dev-elopment opportunity including a hotel, commercial, retail and residential within minutes of the city centre.

Dalmarnock River-side is Clyde Gateway's flagship residential project with dev- elopment and has capacity for up to 800 houses.

Ian Manson, chief executive of the regeneration agency, said: "This has been a phenomenal year for Clyde Gateway.

"We have been overwhelmed with the interest the Games generated and with the quality and numbers of businesses that have already made the decision to make Clyde Gateway their new home.

"It is clear the location, the value for money and the quality of build available are second to none.

"That's why these new developments are not-to-be-missed opportunities for potential investors.

"This is their chance to get involved with us and play a significant part of something which is already making huge economic and lifestyle differences to the lives of people in and around Glasgow."
