A POLICE probe has been launched after a 16-year-old boy was deliberately mown down by a car in Moodiesburn, North Lanarkshire.
The blue car – believed to be a Honda Civic – mounted the pavement and was driven directly at the victim and a group of around 15 other youths.
The group fled but the car hit the teenager, injuring his head and body. He is described as "stable" in Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
The incident took place at about 10.10pm on Saturday in Glenmanor Avenue.
