CELTIC'S die-hard travelling support and thousands of getaway families turned chilly October into a sizzling month for airport chiefs in Glasgow.
They cashed in on a week-long school holiday and the Old Firm club's European exploits when passenger numbers soared by tens of thousands.
Families headed to Europe's favourite sunspots as well as long-haul destinations such as Dubai and Florida. And Celtic fans jetted to Spain to the famous Camp Nou Stadium where the Glasgow side went down to an injury time killer goal to lose 2-1 to giants Barcelona – before getting their revenge in Glasgow.
Numbers travelling through Scotland's biggest airport last month hit almost 700,000– more than 32,000 more than October 2011.
