A driver was forced to escape from a bus today after it burst into flames on a busy motorway.
Traffic ground to a halt in massive tailbacks after the blaze closed part of the M8 westbound.
Emergency services were quickly at the scene to put out the fire-hit bus.
Two lanes at Junction 22 Plantation were closed by the blaze.
Smoke billowed from the bus and was blown across the carriageway creating hazardous conditions for motorists.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said: "Crews were called out at 7.54am to reports of a bus on fire.
"The fire was extinguished and we left the scene at 8.20am."
