POPPIES are being attached to city buses to honour servicemen and women who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
First Glasgow is fitting its fleet with a special vinyl poppy to support the people who have served in the armed forces.
The firm said it employed many former servicemen and servicewomen.
The company's newly-appointed engineering director, Kenny Dickson, 37, from Motherwell, served as a Royal Navy officer in the Submarine Service.
He said: "By displaying poppies on the front of our buses we are helping to raise awareness of the Scottish Poppy Appeal.
"As an ex-serviceman myself it is a very worthy cause that is very close to my heart."
