MUSEUM bosses are expecting the last days of the popular Jack Vettriano exhibition to draw in an "exceptional" number of visitors.

The record-breaking retrospective at Kelvingrove Art Gallery has proved extremely popular since opening in September.

More than 123,300 people have flocked to it, making it the most visited art exhibition ever to go on display at the museum and breaking the previous record held by The Glasgow Boys exhibition in 2010.

Numbers are expected to soar even further before the retrospective draws to a close tomorrow at 8pm.

Visitors are being advised to plan ahead to avoid disappointment.

A spokesman for Glasgow Life said: "There will be queues, particularly at busy periods such as the middle of the day and would advise patrons to choose a quieter period or attend in the evening."
