CAMPAIGNERS are calling for a burial site to be exhumed in a bid to solve one of Scotland's most mysterious disappearances
The move comes days after it was announced police are to reinvestigate the disappearance of Coatbridge schoolgirl Moira Anderson.
Lord Advocate Frank Mulholland has instructed a cold case team to look into the case of the girl, who vanished in a blizzard in February 1957.
Campaigners claim the 11-year-old was buried by the bus driver who was arrested over her disappearance.
Moira vanished after leaving her home.
Alexander Gartshore, who was jailed for raping a 12-year-old girl two months later, was the last person to see her alive after she boarded his bus.
He was arrested in 1993 over the disappearance, but was released due to lack of evidence.
His daughter, Sandra Brown, a former Evening Times Scotswoman of the Year, has always insisted Gartshore was guilty.
