THE Scottish Government are encouraging domestic food producers to protect their brand.
There are 12 products from Scotland with EU protected food name (PFN) status including Stornoway black pudding, Arbroath Smokies and Scotch lamb.
Rural Affairs Secretary Richard Lochhead said: "I believe there's scope for many more producers to put their products forward."
