The search for a missing student involving 40 police officers and mountain rescue teams is continuing around the university grounds where he was last seen.
David O'Halloran, 18, was spotted at the main entrance to Stirling University around 2am on Friday after a night-out in the city.
A friend reported him missing on Sunday and police described his disappearance as "completely out of character".
