WORK has been completed on a £300,000 refurbishment of a canal bridge.
Following three months of work, the bridge, over the Forth and Clyde Canal in Torrance, East Dunbartonshire, is now fully open to vehicle traffic and for passing barges.
Hungryside Bridge was restricted to single file traffic and the canal was closed while new structural steelwork to strengthen footpaths was installed.
New parapets and barriers were installed and the bridge was blast cleaned before all the steelwork was painted.
