The Hillside Creche kids took part in the Big Toddle, the UK's biggest charity event for young children.

This year, the theme of the charity drive was "superheroes" and the 26 youngsters who took part dressed up as their favourite characters, including Buzz Lightyear and Spider-Man.

Staff also got into the spirit by dressing up as Batman, Robin and Wonder Woman.

The toddle itself took place around the nursery's garden, with each child walking 10 laps and receiving a medal for their efforts.

Arti Poddar, the nursery owner, said: "The Big Toddle is the perfect adventure to help children discover and learn exciting new things while having lots of fun.

"Raising money for a good cause like Barnardo's can give children a real sense of pride and achievement and they can have fun on the way too."
