Silverburn bosses have donated £5000 to the Glasgow South West food bank.

The money will go towards helping the service employ a food bank manager.

Silverburn will also donate 22 hampers including items to make a three-course meal, to be distributed to families on December 22.

David Pierotti, General Manager of Silverburn said "Community is vital to Silverburn so we're thrilled to be able to help those who need it most.

"Christmas dinner is at the heart of the seasonal festivities and we hope that through our Silverburn Cares initiative we've been able to help members of the local community have an incredible Christmas."
