GLASGOW'S Royal Hospital for Sick Children has been given a £475 boost thanks to generous shoppers who turned up to enjoy an indoor beach at East Kilbride Shopping Centre.
Over the summer, hundreds of shoppers visited the town to relax on the 10 tonnes of golden sands and take part in beach games.
Kirsten Sinclair, head of fundraising at Yorkhill Children's Charity, said: "This is a fantastic gesture from EK East Kilbride.
"The generosity of EK shoppers never ceases to amaze me."
