The 23-year-old pleaded not guilty when he appeared at Edinburgh's Justice Of The Peace court.

The alleged incident is said to have happened while Griffths was on loan to Hibs from Wolves, whom he had signed for in January 2011.

He moved to Celtic this year.

Trial was fixed for April 17.
