THOUSANDS of cyclists turned out for a biking festival in Glasgow.

The Pedal for Scotland event saw families ride a traffic-free route near the Sir Chris Hoy velodrome, many raising cash for kids' charities.

Team Scotland's cyclists treated the crowd of 3000 to a display, led by Glasgow 2014 medallists Aileen McGlynn and Louise Haston.
