GLASGOW is taking centre stage for a nationwide Church of Scotland independence referendum debate - and more than 1000 people will take part.
St George's Tron, in Nelson Mandela Place, is the focal point of the Kirk's final debate before the referendum.
Finance Secretary John Swinney and the Advocate General for Scotland, Rt Hon Lord Wallace of Tankerness willtake part in the event, which will be from 7pm-8.30pm on Wednesday.
It will be chaired by the Right Reverend John Chalmers, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland.
Ten other churches across the country will link up with the Glasgow debate by using its content for discussions.
