A Glasgow dance troupe have shimmied their way into the final of a TV talent search.

The Box, from Dancepoint in Yoker, are now in with a chance of scooping the £100,000 prize on Sky 1 show Got To Dance, hosted by Davina McCall.

The 13 youngsters, aged from seven to 15, got through after an emotional routine to Alexandra Burke’s Hallelujah.

They will now take to the stage in the final on Sunday.

Choreographer Robert Hamilton, 33, told the Evening Times: “The Box are a diverse group of kids, boys and girls, all totally different characters.

“They’ve really worked for this and they deserve to go far.

“It would mean the world to these kids to get through to the final. It’s huge.

“It would stay with them for the rest of their lives.

“I want them to see that if they believe in themselves and have confidence, dreams are possible.”

The judges on the show – Adam Garcia, Pussycat Dolls’ Kimberly Wyatt and top street dance group Diversity’s Ashley Banjo – have been supportive of the group.

They will compete against other acts Akai, MJ Latin, Emily, Matthew Koon and Jukebox Juniors in the final, which is screened live at 6pm on Sunday.
