MORE than 2000 people in Glasgow are employed in the renewables industry - more than in any other city in Scotland.
Glasgow tops a new renewable energy employment league table, with 2132 employed in the sector in the city.
A hundred organisations - from wind turbine manufacturers to consultancies and law firms - are based in the city, a major new report commissioned by Scottish Renewables has found.
Independent researchers surveyed more than 540 companies in what is the most comprehensive study to date.
The findings suggest 11,695 people are currently in full-time employment in the renewables industry across Scotland. This is an increase of 5% from the previous year's figures.
