City welcomes the blow show does it for pipers

Glasgow city centre was alive with the skirl of the pipes as Scotland’s biggest traditional music festival got underway.

Pipers of all ages and from 15 different countries are taking part in the week-long Piping Live!

Now in its seventh year, the festival runs until Sunday, and features a range of solo competitions.
